Dear Web Reader,

Anti-aging Medicine is the fastest growing scientific breakthrough in medicine. This is the most exciting development in my 30 years of practicing and teaching medicine. Anti-aging medicine has worked so well for me, my family and my patients that I wanted to share it with you. I am excited and passionate about this field because it promotes health and wellness and is truly preventative medicine.

Anti-Aging Medicine is a paradigm shift in how we think about health, disease and preventive medicine. Traditional medicine seeks to treat the complications of aging such as cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes, cancer and dementia.

Anti-aging medicine seeks to change the process of aging in the first place.
This is the ultimate preventive medicine.

Traditional medicine views the decline of key hormones such as testosterone in men and women and human growth hormone as an unfortunate consequence of aging.

Anti-aging medicine has demonstrated that :

We age because our hormones decline; our hormones do not decline because we age.

We can now return these hormones to youthful levels with bioidentical natural hormones. This natural balanced hormone replacement in women and men is safe and prevents many of the losses of aging. It keeps us healthy, strong, and ready for the next big breakthrough in medicine. The advances in the next 20 years will be profound. Let's stay ready for them.

Anti-aging medicine seeks to prevent:

The decline in strength and body composition (muscle to fat ratio)
The decline in immune function and resistance to infections and cancer
The decline in cognitive function (Alzheimer's or dementia)
The increased incidence of cardiovascular disease, heart attacks and strokes
The decline in sexual function in men and women.

Of course, no one wants to merely accumulate years. We want to extend our "healthspan" not just lifespan. We want to be strong, healthy, functional and spiritually satisfied until the end of our lives. We have to die sometime, but wouldn't it be wouldn't it be nice if we could avoid a long period of disability and frailty? This is our goal at California Healthspan Institute; to improve the quality and the quantity of one's life.

This newest medical specialty, Anti-Aging Medicine, is solidly based on data in the medical literature and the clinical experience of MD specialists in the field of anti-aging medicine.

At California Healthspan Institute, we carefully evaluate the latest medical data so that we may offer our patients programs that are both cutting-edge and based on the documented benefits of traditional medicine and integrative medicine. Comprehensive evaluations are conducted on our patients which includes blood tests, cardiovascular testing, osteoporosis and body composition tests and exercise physiology tests. We also design customized nutrition programs for our patients that will allow them to consume the proper ratios of proteins, carbohydrates and fats for their particular lifestyle. We know that proper nutrition is the foundation for longevity.

You can obtain your comprehensive blood analysis of cardiovascular risk factors, hormones, vitamin levels and heavy metals at a lab near your home.

Who can benefit from anti-aging medicine? Everyone!

Children need the correct diet, exercise and vitamins.

20-30 Year Olds: need the correct diet, exercise and vitamins and fish oil. In addition, it is very valuable to assess hormone levels at this age to know what your ideal levels are. These can be maintained indefinitely.

40 Year Olds: need the correct diet, exercise and vitamins and fish oil. May be starting to decline in function and this may be the ideal time to begin your anti-aging medical program to prevent hormone level declines and the consequences of low hormone levels.

50 Year Olds: The baby boomers (I am one of the baby boomers) have the greatest interest in anti-aging. We want to remain strong, healthy and smart. We often have high stress jobs, older parents and young children. We cannot afford to loose mental or physical function. In addition, we want to continue having fun and doing the things, (e.g. travel, sports and sex just to name a few) that we enjoy. We do not want to lose our current quality of life.

60 and 70 Year Olds: This group probably has noticed some of the declines of aging but many of these can be reversed or improved with anti-aging medical interventions. Cognitive function is a concern, and the statistic that 10% of people over 65 have Alzheimer's Dementia is frightening. Mental, as well as physical, function must be preserved.

80 and 90 Year Olds: This group needs to reverse losses that may have occurred in mental and physical function. What a shame it would be not to be able to communicate the wisdom acquired by a long life. Independent living must be preserved. The increased mental and physical strength that that can be gained through balanced hormone replacement can keep you out of a wheelchair, out of a nursing home and out of diapers.

Many aspects of aging are now an option. What's your choice?

There may be an important reason why you have clicked onto this website at this time.

Please come along with me on this adventure. It may be the most important decision you will ever make.
