Text Box: Boost Your Brain!
Eating a hormonally correct diet, exercising appropriately and returning major hormone levels to a youthful therapeutic range, will enhance your cognitive function. There are dietary supplements, vitamins and prescription medications, known as brain boosters, which we at CHI recommend to our patients. We recommend these as part of an overall anti-aging strategy which is prescribed on an “individual needs” basis. They are listed below:
Deprenyl increases libido, improves memory, enhances attention and language abilities and most importantly it slows the progression of Parkinson’s disease. Deprenyl improves a person’s reaction time and it increases energy and vitality. Deprenyl is a selective MAO inhibitor. MAO is an enzyme that breaks down neurotransmitters. Deprenyl stimulates the substantia nigra region in the brain where the neurotransmitter dopamine regulates sex drive and motor control. Deprenyl protects the substantia nigra from the degenerative effects of disease and aging. After the age of 40, dopamine levels in the brain can decrease by as much as thirteen (13) percent per decade. When dopamine levels are only 30% of the youthful range, Parkinson’s disease appears. Deprenyl increases the lifespan of dopamine neurons. Because of its incredible effect on enhancing dopamine levels, we recommend 5-mg daily of Deprenyl which is also known as Selegeline or Eldepryl.
Piracetam is known as an intelligence booster. It enhances memory with no side effects. Piracetam is known as a Nootropic medication, which means it acts on the mind. Piracetam increases the communication between the right and the left brain. Piracetam increases creativity because it increases the use of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Piracetam, when combined with Hydergine is five times more effective. The dose for Piracetam can range from 1600 mg to 2400 mg per day.
Vinpocetine is a memory enhancer. Vinpocetine increases cerebral blood flow by increasing red blood cells and decreasing the thickness of the blood. It has anticonvulsant properties and inceases the production of the brain cell energy molecule known as ATP. Vinpocetine improves cerebral metabolism overall. We have found that three 30 mg tabs daily, two in the

Text Box: Detoxify Your Body!
Today there is an increased burden on the human metabolism due to all of the toxic chemicals in the environment, the type of diet we consume and the types of medications many people put into their bodies. Due to the metabolic toxicity we all have, it is a good preventive medicine practice to do a detoxification diet annually, under the supervision of a trained physician with support from a trained nutritionist.
Even if you are very careful about what you eat and you make sure that you drink lots of purified water daily, you can enhance your intestinal health and decrease the load placed on your liver (the liver is the main filtering system in the body) if you detoxify your intestinal tract at least once a year.
Diets that are high in sugar, antibiotic and hormone-
